Cherry Mobile Cosmos Series - Cosmos Z 5-inch Full HD Quad Core phone

Cherry Mobile just launches their new series of bigger and brighter smartphones lined up in Cosmos series. Let's start with Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z, a quad core phone in a bigger 5 inches screen and a brighter Full HD display that will surely blow other local brands in terms on resolution. Cherry Mobile really keeps the competition going, just last month they release their 2.0 smartphone series that hits the Filipinos masses and now their cooking for another series for us.If you remember MyPhone announced the availability of their latest phablet Iceberg, Cherry Mobile Cosmos Series also will be available the next month or two.

What's more with Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z

Aside from the mentioned Full HD, it is powered by 1.5GHz updated MediaTek MT6589T processor that gives you speed wise phone performance. Processor is one the latest from Mediatek that slightly differs in terms of speed and graphics, if you are not satisfied with nowadays standard MT6589 I'm sure this updated chip will not disappoint you. Here's more from Cosmos Z, camera features give you a 18 megapixels on the rear side that will surely capture good quality image. Added on the backside camera is the LED flash and the BSI sensor that helps you manage capturing good quality photos in low light. On the front side, Cosmos Z features an 8 megapixels camera that you can use for video call over cellular network or Wi-Fi.

On the storage side of Cosmos Z, as what other expecting it has 1GB RAM along with 8GB internal storage. You can use the remaining ROM space to store videos, photos, apps, games and other files in case you don’t have a memory card yet. It also supports microSD expansion up to 32GB if you want to have that kind of extra storage on your Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z.

Speaking of cellular network Cosmos Z supports 3G/HSDPA/HSPA+ connectivity that gives you a high download and upload speed when you connect to cellular network. It also supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS just like other mid range phone, Cherry Mobile haven't mentioned yet the full specs of this so will be guessing that this has an Wi-Fi hotspot support where you can use this Cosmos Z a Wi-Fi router.

As what other blogs posted about the battery (too many to mention) this sports a 2000mAh battery, which I think not a good partner on a Full HD 5-inch phone (just my opinion). We can't really judge it battery power as we don't have this unit but based on other phones and users opinion 2000mAh really is a short power source for this phone. Enough for that battery power, there are lot of alternatives you can do like portable power banks that you can use as you battery backup in case you battery drain in the middle of the day.
